Cookie Policy

  1. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage SafarYaari uses on safaryaari.com, why they are used and how you can control them. It should be read together with the SafarYaari Privacy Policy.
  2. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the website recognise your browser on later requests, for example to keep you logged in.
  3. SafarYaari currently uses only necessary cookies. These are required for you to log in and use the Platform, and they cannot be switched off without losing that functionality.
  4. sy_access is set by api.safaryaari.com when you log in. It proves to SafarYaari that your browser is logged in on each request. It lasts 15 minutes and is renewed automatically while you use the Platform.
  5. sy_refresh is set by api.safaryaari.com when you log in. It allows SafarYaari to renew your login silently without asking for your password again. It lasts 30 days and is sent only to SafarYaari's login endpoints.
  6. Both cookies are marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite. This means they travel only over encrypted connections, cannot be read by scripts running in the page and are not sent with requests started by other websites.
  7. If you leave "Remember me" unticked when you log in, both cookies are kept only until you close your browser instead of for the periods described above.
  8. During Google Sign-In on a phone, SafarYaari keeps two small values in your browser's session storage while you are redirected to Google and back. They record only which screen you started from and the outcome of the sign-in, and they are removed as soon as the Platform loads again.
  9. Cloudflare, which protects the Platform from bots and other security threats, may place a short-term security cookie of its own. This cookie is necessary for the protection it provides and does not track you across other websites.
  10. When you use Google Sign-In or a payment gateway, the pages shown to you by Google or the payment gateway may set their own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the privacy and cookie policies of Google or the payment gateway, not by SafarYaari.
  11. SafarYaari does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, analytics cookies, session-recording tools or third-party chat widgets.
  12. If SafarYaari introduces analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, SafarYaari will update this Cookie Policy before doing so and will provide any notice or obtain any consent required under applicable law.
  13. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookies described above will prevent you from staying logged in to SafarYaari.
  14. SafarYaari may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any revised Cookie Policy will be published on the SafarYaari website and will become effective from the date mentioned in it.
